How FlyingPress Automatically Purges and Preloads Related Pages

Updated this week

FlyingPress automatically purges and preloads cache when you update content, ensuring visitors always get the latest version.

When does it trigger?

Cache is purged and regenerated when:

  • A post, page, or WooCommerce product is updated or published (including scheduled posts)

  • A comment is added or the comment count changes

What pages are affected?

FlyingPress refreshes only the pages directly related to the updated content:

  • The post/page/product URL (before and after update)

  • The home page

  • The blog archive page (if set)

  • The post type archive (e.g., /products/ for WooCommerce)

  • The author archive for the post’s author

  • The category, tag, or taxonomy archives linked to the post

  • Parent taxonomy terms, if applicable

When a comment is added, only that post’s URL is refreshed.

Why this matters

This targeted purging keeps important pages fresh without clearing the entire cache, balancing performance and accuracy.
